Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I suffered with low back pain. My lower back pain at times has caused frustration and depressed me. I haven’t been able to do a lot of the outside activities that I like because the pain would increase and I would have to cancel them. I have had restrictions and also have missed work because of my back pain.
I have gone to medical doctors and have taken medicine and have tried to rest and not aggravate my low back, but that did not really help. Since I have started treating at Doctors’ Choice I have a greater range of motion and my pain levels have decreased. I have also been able to enjoy more activities.

Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I initially had occasional pain and minor discomfort on a regular basis in my back. This graduated to excruciating inexplicable pain in my lower back forcing me to seek medical assistance where I could find it.
These issues greatly impacted my life style, limiting my day to day activities. Fortunately I’m retired but I was hoping to enjoy my golden years a little more aggressively. This ailment has curtailed my movements and activities severely, my attitude remains positive because my spouse has been very supportive.
In the beginning I tried several home remedies followed by over the counter medications, pills and creams, etc. The intensity of the pain drove me to my family physician and he prescribed heavy duty meds, which did temporarily relieved the pain but the side affects were almost as bad as the ailment itself.
After coming to Doctors’ Choice the pain has eased consistently giving my body more flexibility. The exercise has greatly improved my attitude and mood. The staff appears competent and professional not to mention friendly and leave you with an air of confidence feeling your condition is in fact improving.
Would I recommend Doctors’ Choice to others? I’ve continued to return on an ongoing basis for treatment which speaks for itself, as far as recommending Doctors’ Choice, I would indeed recommend and have already suggested to family and friends should problems arise look to Doctors’ Choice for solutions.

I’ve had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for years. I’ve suffered with the loss of sensation and numbness in my hands, clicking fingers and pain in my forearms. Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I consulted with two different doctors who wanted to do surgery. I did not want surgery, so I suffered, wore hand/wrist braces to bed, and took over-the-counter pain relievers that did not work. I constantly woke up in the middle of the night from my hand pain. I was unable to hold items in my hands without dropping them, I could not drive for long periods of time and I was unable to detect heat on very hot objects, often burning myself.
Since coming to Doctors’ Choice I have improved touch to my fingertips, my hands are now sensitive to hot objects, my numbness is completely gone, I have no pain in my forearms and much, much more energy. This is the best I have felt in years!
I would definitely recommend Doctors’ Choice to others without a doubt!!! Dr. Dave has made my hands like brand new again!

Congratulations Thomas Mogish!!
Due to my injuries I lost the ability to work, needed to sunglasses all the time, even in artificial lights. I had NO social life because I couldn’t be around any type of loud or sharp noises. I could hardly turn my head or look up and down without pain. When my headaches were very bad, I wouldn’t even venture outside because of the sun or noise.
Since coming to Doctors’ Choice the pain level in my head and neck have been reduced and I have mobility in my neck again. I now only wear sunglasses when I’m out in the sun and my shoulder pain has been reduced to almost nothing!
Would I recommend Doctors’ Choice to others? YES! I had physical therapy at other places with only some temporary relief. Doctors’ Choice has not only helped me but also has a friendly environment and an excellent staff. I can’t say enough about the staff. I will definitely recommend Doctors’ Choice to others.

Before I came to Doctors’ Choice I had right hip pain, terrible pain from my lower back that went down my right leg, I couldn’t get out of bed and I walked crooked! I had to pull back with volunteering at my church, I couldn’t exercise or do chores around the house, I even had to give up bowling! I started getting depressed due to my limitations because of my pain.
I went to my M.D. and all he said was it was due to my age and arthritis, he didn’t give me any sort of treatment at all. A friend of mine told me about Doctors’ Choice and I thought I would give it a try.
I am so glad I did try Doctors’ Choice because now I have more energy, less pain, I am walking better and I can straighten up now. I am back to exercising and walking and I can do my house and yard work. Most importantly my attitude is much better.
I would recommend Doctors’ Choice to others. Everyone went out the their way to make treatment here nice, everyone was friendly and very professional.

Before I started coming to Doctors’ Choice I had shooting pain in both arms radiating to my fingertips, similar to the feeling of striking your “funny bone”. The pain surfaced anytime I had elevated my arms slightly and tilted my head, therefore the pain was constantly present.
My doctor originally diagnosed a pinched nerve while sleeping. At the time I had symptom in only one arm. After two-weeks of steroids, the pain was present in both arms.
After being diagnosed with “whiplash” from a car accident in November 2008, Dr. Novatnak’s course of treatment has eliminated the shooting pains to allow me to do my job at work and tasks at home.
As this was my first encounter with chiropractic care, I am truly sorry for waiting so long. Anytime someone mentions to me that they have a certain nagging pain, I tell them to see the pros at “Doctors’ Choice”!

Congratulations Mabel Bodkins!
Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I was in an auto accident. I had a concussion, whiplash, and an injured left shoulder. I had pain in my arm, hand, head, neck, back and was not stable on my feet. Was dizzy at times, bumping into things when walking. My hands were not strong and my left shoulder felt like my arm was not attached right.
I felt like my body was ruined, so my life as I knew it was over. I couldn’t clean my house, cook, paint, do repairs, can food, exercise or plant my roses. Every chore took so long and was so exhausting, it seemed useless. I was so tired all the time and I had so much trouble sleeping.
I went to my primary care doctor, she referred me to her physical therapy group. I took Aleve and Tylenol for pain and I attended the PT my doctor referred me to.
Than I came to Doctors’ Choice. I have markedly less pain, I can do more of anything I want to. I have lots more energy at times. I am less dizzy, walk much better, have less headaches and they are less sever.
Would I recommend Doctors’ Choice to others? I recommend you to others because as a health care professional myself, I know good, effective, professional care when I see it. I have had opportunity to attend other physical therapy groups in the area and Doctors’ Choice is by far the best, most supportive physical therapy practice in this area, and that’s not a compliment, it’s just the truth.

When I was in high school, my mom was being treated by Dr. Novatnak for a back injury. When I injured my knee during sports, my mom brought me along and we were treated together, both very successfully.
Years later, my daughter injured her knee during Cross Country. Guess where I brought her? You got it Doctors’ Choice! She has recovered nicely and is back running better than ever.
So when I was bothered by persistent back pain, I found myself back to see the Doc.
Although, my Multiple Sclerosis has made my recovery from the herniated disc and pinched nerve slow, Doc has not given up on me. I have no doubt that with the great care I receive from everyone here at Doctors’ Choice; they will have me enjoying all the activities that I love in no time.

Georgia and I came to Doctors’ Choice with numerous problems; neck pain, back pain and I have a serious Restless Leg problem. The staff was so helpful and caring and there was a feeling of family that helped us feel at home.
A thorough evaluation and intake got us moving ahead in a designed therapy program, targeting the areas of difficulty. Before long, we began to see steady improvement as adjustments were made to focus on our particular needs.
After a time Georgia had to discontinue her treatments due to more sever back problems that will be evaluated by a spinal surgeon. I have continued to press forward making good progress with my neck, back and Restless Leg. My neck has been the most difficult because of long term injury but has improved significantly. My back has made great progress through traction, ultra sound, rolling and exercise. I have come a long way since that first session and the back pain and stiffness has been relieved.
My Restless Leg problem had been diagnosed as one of the worst cases, occurring in about 5% of the population. I had sever uncontrollable spasm in one or both legs almost every day. Medication prescribed by a specialist and my family physician and the therapy provided by Dr. Novatnak has but almost eliminated my Restless Leg problem.
Doctors’ Choice has helped me function at a much higher level and enabled me to go about my normal activities with a more positive attitude and feeling much better about myself.

Congratulations Dolores Troutman!
Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I doctored for many years with Osteo-arthritis. Last year I had a mini stroke and developed macular degeneration in both eyes. These issued affected my life dramatically, I was very limited with walking, exercising and socializing.
I’ve gone to medical doctors, specialists and have taken over the counter medications with limited success in regaining my life.
Since coming to Doctors’ Choice I have less pain and more energy. My walking is improving slowly, but it is improving.

Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I suffered from neck, upper back and lower back pain. I do a lot of lifting for work and it became very hard to move around freely. I tried over the counter pain relievers without success and dealt with my pain as long as I could.
My husband was a patient at Doctors’ Choice and finally convinced me to give it a try, what did I have to lose, but the pain.
After starting care with Doctors’ Choice I started to be able to move around more freely, I could bend over without pain and best of all I had more energy, which helps since I have a new grandson to chase after!

Before coming to Doctors’ Choice I had constant pain in my elbows and arms. My pain prevented me from doing almost all of my everyday functions. I was taking pain medications that were making me ill and unable to do my job. I’ve seen medical doctors, who prescribed more pain medications, and other Physical Therapy facilities, which really did not help the pain in my elbows and arms.
After starting treatment here at Doctors’ Choice I have been able to perform my everyday functions. I have a lot less pain and I am doing much better. I would definitely recommend Doctors’ Choice to other people, especially people with persistent pain that cannot be helped elsewhere!

Before coming to Doctors’ Choice was I experiencing back and leg pain. The lower back and leg pains affected my left in a major way. It’s been a terrible time. I can’t do normal activities with my family and work wise I have lost many hours.
I’ve tried lots of different medications went to several doctors and have had therapy before this treatment with Doctors’ Choice. I also have been doing regular stretching to help the pain.
I have improved in several ways since treating at Doctors’ Choice. I learned how to manage my pain, gained mobility and improved in strength. I have also found out many things that deal with my condition.

To keep a long story short, I am suffering with severe lower back pain and was diagnosed with bulging discs, nerve damage and two compression fractures.
I have trouble walking, standing, sitting, sleeping and completing daily tasks for any length of time.
With that being said, shortly after my diagnosis is when I started chiropractic care and therapy.
My posture and range of motion began to improve, along with my back feeling much stronger and am looking to continue therapy to strengthen my back.
I would never have gotten these results if it weren’t for the entire staff, which is competent and accommodating.

I came to Doctors’ Choice because I had severe back pain, trouble taking deep breaths, tightness in my neck and shoulders and constantly had knots in my back. I wasn’t able to get off the couch because of too much pain. Medications didn’t help stop the pain and I was miserable all the time.
